As mentioned in the previous post, I had the honour to shoot a fashion campaign for a very nice client.
This shoot came in at a very last-minute notice, probably less than 24 hours. Basically the shoot location, an airplane museum at Sungai Besi Air Force Base, was due to close/relocate on the planned shooting date. So we had to make adjustments and moved our shoot to the next day! After shooting commercially for several years, this was no surprise as unforeseen circumstances happen all the time. We just have to adapt to changes and make it work.
Throughout the day we were blessed with good weather and nice sunlight. The shoot was done entirely on natural light and Lastolite reflectors. We had some Profoto strobes standing by but was quite lucky that we didn’t need it. As always, my clients have the luxury of reviewing every shot on a big screen. We had a Profoto BatPac that powers the MacBook Pro and tethered to a Nikon D810.
I am quite pleased with the final shots as fair as bridal photography is concerned. To me, it is either the fashion way or the candid way, to emphasise on the beautiful detailed dress or timeless facial expressions.
